Rooted on the streets, Represent Clothing by the designers George and Mike Heaton has debuted in the Milanese Fashion Week dedicated to the menswear the past 15th January. The Tortona neighborhood hosted the Fashion Show with their upcoming FW18 collection  and we had the exclusivity to get into the backstage to discover it before it came to light.

“British Made” is the slogan they take with them everywhere, proud-hearted of their origin nation they take it to the next level in terms of patterns, tailoring and outerwear; an underground street lifestyle from UK was present in every look that walked on the runway.

The acclaimed British style has always been known by its “fearlessness”, Brits are famed for their individual sense of style and the siblings Heaton are conscious about it by mixing the polished tailoring with streetwear. Nylon textiles with tartan patterns were my favorite combination, the synthetic textiles seemed so subtle even in the outerwear, due the constant progression of high-end materials you could feel inspired by the British eras.

Now the key of the season: Synthetic subtle textiles in scarlet red, black and pearly white or playing with typical British patterns for padded jackets and wind-breakers with huge volumes; tailoring pieces mixed with shearling, leather and some fur jackets matched with shoulder bags and logo scarfs.

The new entry to the Milan Fashion Week promises to give a twist to all we were used to see regarding to streetwear. By my side, I can only suggest to keep an eye on Represent Clothing and on its commitment to quench our thirst of urban style.
